Groundwater Update

As expected, the rate of rise in groundwater has increased again and the level is now 4ft 8in (1.4m) below ground level. This is a rise of over 2ft in a week - at this rate the Bourne should start to flow in the first week of January.

The groundwater level at Idmiston (QMF) continues to show an upward trend. Unfortunately the Met Office website still has no rain data for Boscombe Down. The nearby Middle Wallop station shows rainfall so far this month of 113.4mm (132% LTA).

The pond at Manor Farm has been filling quickly - another sign that we will soon have water flowing in the Bourne. Who is going to be first to spot water flowing at the Ford??
